The 7-day posting plan

What to post each day of the week, what it looks like, the words to use, and what happens after someone comments. The freebies stay in. This page also flags one Facebook rule they run into, and sets out how to run them with less risk.

Facebook Page 7 posts a week, 2 freebies Reads alongside the Messenger plan and the posting playbook

Start here

The whole plan in five points.

1
Seven posts, seven different styles

Each day of the week has its own style, so the Page never posts the same thing twice in a row. Two of the seven are freebies.

2
The freebies carry a risk worth knowing about

Facebook's spam rules name cash giveaways in exchange for engagement. A £100 cash freebie entered by commenting fits that description. The freebies can still run: Part two covers how to lower the risk.

3
The post comes first

Every post has to be worth answering on its own. The test: would anyone still comment if the prize were taken away? If not, it needs a better post, not a bigger prize.

4
Real people, real prizes, filmed that week

Skye, the team, the actual car, the actual winner. Facebook now favours content a Page films itself, and it is the one thing no other competition Page can copy.

5
Every comment gets a message

Anyone who comments gets a private Messenger reply with buttons. The comment can be whatever they like; the buttons capture the answer.

Part one

The spam flag

A short note for Skye before the freebies run.

Facebook's spam rules, checked 16 September 2026

Meta's Community Standards on spam prohibit:

"Offering giveaways (i.e., offering others a chance to win) of cash or cash equivalents in exchange for engagement."

Meta's own example is "Anyone that likes my page will be entered to win $500".

What that means for the freebies

Part two

Running the freebies with less risk

In order of how much each one helps.

1 · Biggest difference

Make the prize something other than cash

Choose a physical prize you can film on the desk: an air fryer, a hamper, headphones, a Friday-night takeaway box delivered to the door. Once the prize isn't cash or a cash equivalent, the rule's wording no longer fits. Filming it also gives the post original footage, which Facebook favours anyway.

Avoid: vouchers, gift cards, "£100 in your bank", and probably site credit or free tickets.

2

Stop making the comment the price of entry

Let people comment freely, then put the entry in the private message: "Tap to enter tonight's free draw." Give a second route in the caption as well: "or message us FREE." Commenting then becomes one way in rather than the only one. This is our judgement: Meta hasn't said whether it changes how the rule is applied. It does move the post away from the "do this to win" shape.

3

Question first, prize second

Open with something worth answering and put the prize on line two. "Comment to win £100" in line one is exactly what the spam rule describes. A real question with the prize underneath reads as a conversation that also has a prize.

4

Never ask for likes, shares, follows or tags

Facebook's promotion rules already ban share-to-enter and tag-a-friend. Meta's spam example is a like-to-enter giveaway. Keep all of them out of every caption.

5

Two a week at most, never back to back, and never the same shape

Meta also demotes Pages that post engagement bait repeatedly. Two freebies with at least a day between them, each in a different style, looks much less like a pattern than a daily £100.

6

Full terms in the caption

UK advertising rules (CAP Code, section 8) require the key terms in the post itself: closing date and time, how to enter, 18+ and UK only, how the winner is picked, and the promoter's name and address. Add a link to the full T&Cs. It also makes the post look like a proper promotion rather than bait.

7

Watch for warnings and stop fast

Check the Page's account status in Meta Business Suite each week. If a freebie post is removed, a warning appears, or freebie posts start reaching far fewer people than normal posts, pause freebies and review before running the next one.

If it has to stay cash

Then keep it to the lowest-risk version: question first, entry by tapping the button in the private message or messaging the Page, no "comment to win" wording anywhere, two a week at most, full terms, and a weekly check of the account status. The risk remains. It's Skye's call, but she should make it knowing the rule exists.

Part four

Day by day

For each day: the style, why people comment, what to film, example captions, and the private message.

MONDAY

Keep it or cash it

No freebie

Why people comment: everyone has a price, and everyone has an opinion on anyone else's.

What to film: Skye walking round this week's actual prize, 15 to 30 seconds, ending on the question.

You win this tonight.

8am tomorrow someone knocks on the door and offers you £[X] cash for it.

Keys or cash?

Other weeks:

  • "This is yours. The catch: you can't sell it for a year. Still want it?"
  • "You've won it. Your partner wants the cash. Your mate says keep it. Who wins?"
  • "What's the lowest offer you'd take for this?"

Private message: "Straight answer then 👀" with buttons KEEP IT / TAKE THE CASH. Anyone who taps KEEP IT gets "What if they offered £[X+5k]?"

Leads into: Tuesday or next Monday: "Most of you kept it. This week's prize is worth more. Same question."

TUESDAY

Office argument

No freebie

Why people comment: taking sides with a person is more fun than taking sides with an object.

What to film: two of the team having a real, small disagreement to camera. It has to be genuine: the audience can tell.

This has been going on since 9am and nobody's working.

Skye says the next prize should be black. [Colleague] says white.

Settle it.

Other weeks:

  • "[Colleague] says a Tunnock's teacake beats a Caramel Wafer. Skye says that's the worst take she's heard this year."
  • "Is a heated steering wheel a necessity or a luxury? The office is split."
  • "[Colleague] reckons nobody under 30 knows what this is. Prove them wrong." (hold up a 90s object)

Private message: "Whose side are you on?" TEAM SKYE / TEAM [COLLEAGUE].

Leads into: Friday or next Tuesday: the loser does a forfeit on camera.

WEDNESDAY · FREEBIE 1

Guess the price

Freebie, lower-risk version

Why people comment: people like being right, and they come back to find out.

What to film: a slow walk round a prize, or a team member guessing the price on camera and getting it badly wrong. Leave the real answer out.

No Googling. What do you reckon this cost new?

[Colleague] said £[wrong figure]. They're miles out.

Free draw tonight: [physical prize], sitting on the desk in this video. Tap the button we message you, or message us FREE, to enter. Closes 9pm Wed [date]. 18+, UK only. Winner picked at random on [where]. Promoter: [name, address]. T&Cs: [link]

Other weeks:

  • "One wheel. That's all you're getting. What's under the cover?" (partial reveal, answer tomorrow)
  • "The one on the left cost £[X]. Is the one on the right more or less?"
  • "Three clues, three days. Clue one: this badge. What's the prize?"

Private message: "Lock in your guess 🔒" with price-band buttons, then "Enter tonight's free draw" as a separate button. The answer is revealed at a stated time that evening: "You said £40k to £50k. It was £[X]."

Leads into: Thursday: "Only [n] of you got it right. Here's the answer."

THURSDAY · DRAW NIGHT

Countdown, then the Live

No separate freebie: the draw is the event

Why people comment: anticipation, and wanting to be read out on the Live.

What to film: Skye setting up the studio two hours before, the prizes on show.

Two hours to go and the nerves have started.

Which draw are you here for tonight?

Other weeks:

  • "Before tonight: if you win, what's the first person you're ringing?"
  • "Predict it: what does the winning ticket number end in?"
  • "Last week's winner was from [town]. Where's tonight's from?"

Private message: "Want a nudge when we go live?" YES, REMIND ME. Then a reminder at draw time (inside Messenger's 24-hour window, because they tapped).

On the Live: read out names and the best comments from the countdown post.

FRIDAY

Friday night situation

No freebie

Why people comment: easy, identity, a harmless row. Put people in a scene rather than asking a flat question.

What to film: a quick photo or clip from the office: the chippy bag, the Irn-Bru, the Friday face.

Friday night. You've got £30 and the sofa.

Where's the money going?

Other weeks:

  • "Only one can stay forever: Irn-Bru, Tunnock's teacake or a Greggs steak bake."
  • "Chippy tea: salt and sauce, or salt and vinegar? This is a Scotland-wide argument."
  • "6am at Glasgow Airport, flight's at 7. Pint or coffee?"

Private message: "Which is closest to yours?" CHIPPY / CURRY / PIZZA / COOKING. Then: "You're with [n]% of people."

Leads into: next Friday: "You lot killed pizza last week. Round two: chippy or curry."

SATURDAY · FREEBIE 2

Would you rather (with a catch)

Freebie, lower-risk version

Why people comment: the daydream of winning, plus a catch that starts arguments.

What to film: Skye to camera holding two envelopes, or a contract on the desk.

£20,000 today. Or £40,000, but you have to wait exactly one year.

Which are you taking?

Free draw this weekend: [physical prize], filmed here. Tap the button we message you, or message us FREE, to enter. Closes 8pm Sun [date]. 18+, UK only. Winner picked at random on [where]. Promoter: [name, address]. T&Cs: [link]

Other weeks:

  • "£100,000. The catch: you can't tell a single person for five years. Deal?"
  • "A brand new car, but you can only ever drive it in Scotland. Still want it?"
  • "£50k lands in your account tomorrow. What changes first?"

Private message: TODAY / WAIT A YEAR, then "Enter the free draw". Anyone who tapped TODAY gets "What about £30k today?" to see where they'd switch.

Leads into: next week: "Most of you took the money today. Here's a harder one."

SUNDAY

What did the winner choose?

No freebie

Why people comment: guessing what a real person did, then judging it.

What to film: a real winner at the handover, with their consent, stopping before the choice is shown.

[First name] from [town] was offered the car or £[X] cash.

What did they do?

Other weeks:

  • "We stopped the video here for a reason." (cliffhanger at the door, ending tomorrow)
  • "[First name] won on their birthday. What's the first thing they bought?"
  • "Last week's winner took the cash. Were they right?"

Private message: "Lock your guess" CAR / CASH, then the answer with a link to the full clip: "You said car. They took the cash. Here's why."

Leads into: Monday: the next "keep it or cash it" on this week's prize.
